Welcome
Chevy enthusiasts! Like most Chevy nuts, we enjoy restoring collectible, rare or
orphaned muscle cars and classics. We also love to share photos, stories and LOTS of parts. We are currently working on two
Chevys. We are in the process of stuffing a .030 over 350 small block complete with dome
forged pistons and high compression heads into our diamond black lacquer 1971 Monte
Carlo. Our daily beater, a mild 305 equipped 1979 Malibu Wagon is constantly
undergoing major repairs. Work on the Monte engine is moving along smoothly and we expect to have it on the road at the end of this month. We have step by step photos of the work we have done from the day we bought the motor. When we first bought the motor, it was an obnoxious red. We decided to paint it Canary Yellow, and man, it is yellow! All accessories are painted black. We have added huge aluminum Moroso valve covers and white Hooker headers . We attempted to put the motor in this past weekend, but quickly realized we needed different mounts. Hopefully we can attempt again this next weekend. Soon we will retire the Malibu and begin the tedious restoration on the junkyard revival. We recently picked up some Cragar Super Sports to give the wagon a cleaner look, so it matches the Monte. We replaced the front bench seat with early bucket seats and put in a center console from a 1977 Trans Am. Of course the windows are tinted pitch black all around, minus the back hatch (forget looking out the windows at night). Bill, Margie and Nadine |
